If you purchase your crevettes at the "rayon poissonnerie" or "rayon marée" in a supermarket, they'll be already cooked. If you need some shrimps, you might find some, "rayon surgelés" (frozen) or in a "real" poissonnerie (fish shop).
In France, we eat crevettes like that, with some mayonnaise as an entrée.
