Christmas and New Year celebrations would not be the same without truffles, but you can enjoy them all year round thanks to this fantastic simple recipe...
Ingredients
250g-0.5 lb Nestlé Dessert Plain cooking chocolate
250g- 1 cup Liquid crème fraîche/double cream (please don’t use low-fat because the mixture will be too runny)
Van Houten Bitter chocolate powder
Preparation
Prepare the ganache/chocolate paste. Bring the crème fraîche to boiling point in a saucepan.
Take the pan off the heat and add the pieces of broken chocolate. Mix to obtain a smooth paste.
Put the paste into a plastic box or bowl and cover it with cling-film. Put it in the fridge to cool. (For at least 3 hours).
Take the paste out of the fridge and make little balls in the palm of your hands.
Put the chocolate powder on a plate and roll each ball of chocolate paste in the chocolate powder.
Put the finished product on a serving dish and put the latter back into the fridge.
