When do I arrive / leave ?

This time it's for lunch.
Arrive at noon. Not before because your hosts had a long night before !

When do I leave ?

It depends on how you feel. There's no official time. Just try to find a balance between the time dinner ends up (do not leave immediatly after, you need one more « talking time »). If it's the evening meal, try to ask your host about what they do tomorrow (a long drive to meet their family, one more big meal...), there, you know if they need some sleep or not.

Sometimes you know it's time to leave when the conversation slows down with silence or when people start yawning.

What can I say ?
In the evening :
« Bon, on va vous laisser, on a passé une très bonne soirée, merci beaucoup. »

For lunch :
« Bon, on va vous laisser, on a passé un très bon moment, merci beaucoup. » /
« Bon, on va vous laisser, on a passé une très bonne journée, merci beaucoup. »

In both cases :

« C'était très agréable », « le repas était très bon ».
