Signing the deed of sale and notarial « acte de vente » and « acte notarié »
To avoid trouble, make out your deed of sale with a notary « notaire ». A notarial deed is official and indisputable.
If you have not signed a compromise and that you directly sign the deed of sale, you also have a period of 7 days to retract. Same principle for the compromise : send a letter with acknowledgment
of receipt « recommandé avec accusé de réception ».
The notary fees « frais de notaire »
If the deed is drawn up with a notary (which is strongly recommended), you will have "notary fees" to pay. These fees represent fees for the French state (!) And notary fees.
