Un "timbre", a stamp costs 0,54euro for a 20 g letter.

You can buy prestamped envelopes for 20 g too.

Where else can I get stamps ? Of course, you can buy them at the post office, or in a « bureau de tabac », a store that sells cigarettes and magazines.

You must choose where you send your letter. Look at the address and the « code postal » (zip code).

If you send your letter within the department you're in, choose « Isère » or « Rhône » on the boîte à lettres (letter box).

If the zip code is outside of your department, then choose « autres destinations ». If you make a mistake, don't worry, you will only annoy the postman, nothing more.
